Membership terms
§1 The Parties
The organization is Vestfold Students' Society (976 513 789) and will hereafter be referred to as Vestfold Students' Society, the Student Society, and the Organization.
Members are those who have signed up and paid for membership in Vestfold Students' Society and will hereafter be referred to as Member/Members/User/The User.
§2 Conditions for Membership
Members are at all times subject to, and must keep themselves updated on and comply with, Vestfold Studentsamfunn's statutes, bylaws, and decisions made by the organization's bodies. Regulatory documentsThe purchase of membership is also subject to Vestfold Studentsamfunn's Terms of Sale.
§3 Duration and Prices
Vestfold Studentsamfunn offers two types of memberships: a one-semester membership and a two-semester (one academic year) membership. The membership is divided into two periods: the autumn semester and the spring semester. The autumn semester is defined as lasting from July 1st to December 31st. The spring semester is defined as lasting from January 1st to June 30th.
In the autumn semester, it is possible to purchase a membership for either one or two semesters. A one-semester membership will then cover the autumn semester of the current year, while a two-semester membership will cover both the autumn semester of the current year and the spring semester of the following year.
In the spring semester, it is possible to purchase a one-semester membership. This membership will then cover the spring semester of the current year.
The current membership prices are set annually by the general assembly. As of July 1st, 2023, the prices are 200 NOK for one semester and 300 NOK for two semesters.
§4 Membership Benefits
Membership benefits are determined continuously by the Organization and governing documents, and may be changed during a membership period without notice. An overview of the current benefits can be found on the organization's website.
§5 Exclusion
In accordance with the Organization's bylaws, the board may exclude members for violations of the terms and governing documents as described in §2. In the event of exclusion, the member is not entitled to a refund of the membership fee.
§6 Contact and Membership Enrollment
For questions regarding membership, membership status, enrollment, and/or withdrawal, Vestfold Studentsamfunn can be contacted by email at(post@studentsamfunnet.no). Enrollment and withdrawal are primarily done through our service provider, Rubic, and the form can be found on here.
§7 Payment
Payment for membership is made through our service provider, Rubic. Alternatively, the board can assist with enrollment and accept payment through one of the Organization's accepted payment methods as determined by the board. Membership benefits cannot be used until the membership fee has been paid. Payment for membership is binding, and there is no right of withdrawal. In the case of withdrawal, the membership fee will not be refunded.
